Handmade Rwandan Flat Basket - Red-Blue-White-Gold

This flat basket is handmade by a skilled basket maker in Rwanda.  The woman who made this basket is part of the Red Rocks Initiative.  The non-profit provides a safe collective for local artisans to come and do their work with other artisans in the community.

We partnered with Red Rocks Initiative to bring their products to our customers.  We carry their handmade baskets, artwork, jewelry, and sewn pieces (clutches, bags, and napkins) in our showroom and our online store.

These pieces are well made and the colors are created by dyeing the sisal or reeds used to create the baskets using natural dyes and placed in the sun to dry.

The results are incredible patterns with vibrant colorations...and will look good on your table or displayed as wall decorations for years to come.
